Who

Open Hand Hosting is a collaborative partnership between Jake Edge of EdgeTek Services and Caleb Phillips of Small White Cube. Jake and Caleb have 12 years of System Administration experience combined; they have worked on numerous projects together, and Open Hand Hosting is the latest.

Why

Because we are perfectionists. We both have many years of experience as system administrators and as web-developers (as well as numerous other roles), and try as we might, we couldn't find a web-host that made us happy. It turns out that the vast majority of web-hosts suck. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but even those few just didn't cut it. We knew that we could do better. Our goal is to provide a useful service to good people, charge them a reasonable rate to cover our costs and labor, and thereby save the world from webhosts that suck.
